"Couple of the Year 2008"
Linus and Libby Magee
The Couple of the Year is selected by the Chapter to be ambassadors to encourage other members to participate and get involved in Chapter activities.
Once selected to represent your Chapter as The Couple of the Year, you are expected to enthusiastically support all GWRRA programs with pride and a positive attitude, while promoting FUN, SAFETY and KNOWLEDGE.
We are Linus
and Libby Magee and we represent Chapter-O as Couple of the Year for 2008.
We have been members of GWRRA since November 2005 and joined our local
Chapter-0 in January 2006. We love to attend our monthly meetings and
throughly enjoy all the activities and meeting new GWRRA members. We handle
the sale of 50/50 tickets at our Chapter meetings and assist with various
duties at District and Region functions. We also help welcome new-comers
to our meetings, and explain the procedure of the meeting to them and
what GWRRA is about.
We have been married 40 years and have two grown children, a daughter
and a son, and are blessed with two grandsons. We are self employed, being
the owners of Magee's Appliance Repair Service and Linus, also, drives
a school bus between service calls.
We own a 2005 GL1800 Goldwing, which allows us to take some time away
from work and have fun and relaxing rides with our fellow Chapter members,
and gives us a chance to attend various activities sponsored by other
Chapters in our District.
Being Couple of the Year is a fun time, and we appreciate the honor of
representing Chapter-O as their "COY".
